Matthew Koperniak, known as Matt Koperniak, is a professional baseball player who currently plays as an infielder in the minor leagues. He was born on April 5, 1997, in Greenwich, Connecticut. Koperniak attended Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford, Connecticut, where he excelled in baseball.
After high school, Koperniak went on to play college baseball at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. During his time at Trinity, he was a standout player, earning All-NESCAC honors multiple times and setting numerous records for the school. Koperniak was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 2019 MLB Draft and currently plays in their minor league system.
